Finally, it is a school blessed with a superb body of students who are extremely well supported by parents and carers who recognise the value of an excellent Catholic, comprehensive education. The school works very closely with its family of schools to ensure transition arrangements for students between primary and secondary school are second to none. It works equally closely with the local clergy who serve the liturgical life of the school and its community with an unstinting commitment.

St. Nicholas Catholic High School

St. Nicholas Catholic High School is an 11-18 co-educational secondary school. It serves around 1250 students from north and mid Cheshire. It enjoys a wonderful reputation in the area not only because of its great academic success but also because of the standards it promotes and maintains in all areas of school life.

Ofsted categorised the school as outstanding in its last full report in July 2011, and was particularly glowing in its praise of the quality of teaching in Mathematics in March 2012.

The head is Mr Kieran Kelly who has been in post since 2009.

Alongside the Catholic character that is central to the life of the school, it also has a Business and Enterprise status which pervades the school curriculum in many ways, thus ensuring that students are equipped to enter the world upon leaving school with spiritual values and essential skills that will together help them to make the most of their lives.
